P.o.P. Ministries developed as the “creative outreach” of Covenant Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with the goal of providing musical and performing arts opportunities for those who are living in poverty. 

P.o.P. Ministries teamed up with SNAP to develop a choir of homeless families.  Under the creative leadership of Rev. Michael (Redhawk) Rice-Sauer, the choir, named “The Voiceless” wrote and produced a CD (The Voiceless “Among Us”). 

The Voiceless began performing around the state and have begun working on a second CD (The Voiceless “Messengers”).  In a SNAP report from February, 2006 it was stated that The Voiceless “has been tremendously successful in helping to build positive self-image, self-esteem and quality parenting time” in families and individuals.
